Mumbai: Godrej Agrovet Limited, a leading diversified agri-food company in India, has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India.
The Godrej Agrovet MoU, formalized on the sidelines of World Food India 2025, entails a proposed investment of ₹960 crore to strengthen food processing and innovation through advanced facilities and an upstream R&D center.
Godrej Agrovet MoU to Strengthen Food Processing Infrastructure
Under the Godrej Agrovet MoU, the company will establish state-of-the-art manufacturing and processing units, alongside a dedicated research and development center.

The investment will focus on enhancing the company’s Oil Palm and Pet Food businesses, with facilities to be set up in Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Tripura, Telangana, and Maharashtra.

Government’s Support
The MoU was signed in the presence of Avinash Joshi, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, and Rakesh Swami, Group President – Corporate Affairs, Godrej Industries Group.

Employment and Regional Growth through Godrej Agrovet MoU
Expected to be completed by FY2026-27, the new facilities are projected to generate substantial employment opportunities, support skill enhancement, and contribute to regional economic development while bolstering India’s food processing capabilities.
